Great Wolf Lodge

Following the the week after school ended, we took a quick trip up to KC to do a little shopping and stay at Great Wolf Lodge.  We'd never been to the Lodge before, so it was a pretty impressive experience.  We met up with Uncle Zach at Legends and did a little shopping and had some ice cream before it was time for check-in.

After checking in, the kids (Avery, especially) were pretty excited to see the room.  They've only stayed in a hotel one other time, so they were pretty pumped.  Avery had been with me while I was booking our reservation online and informed me that the Wolf Den Suites sounded a little scary to her.  She preferred the sound of the Kid Kamp Suites, so that decision was made pretty easy for us.

Checking out her bedroom for the night.

Posing with the bears on the inside of the tent.

Checking out their beds.

Out to dinner at Longhorn's.  Don't be fooled by the cheerful smiles.  Our soon to be 2 year old was acting a touch on the obnoxious side. Chris and I took turns escorting him outside so the rest of us (and the people behind us) could eat in some peace.

Sleeping in after a VERY late night.

 Didn't sleep in enough.

We made a quick trip through Cabela's also.  The kids had lots of fun running around and checking out all the displays.  Here's our tribute to Moose since we finally made it to KC!
