I had mentioned in earlier posts that we had doctors appointments in Wichita on Tuesday of this week. Avery had an appointment with her endocrinologist that morning, and I had my latest OB appointment that afternoon. Both appointments went wonderfully, with great news coming from each.
Avery's doctor was very, VERY happy with the numbers that we had come back with. Compared to where we were just a month ago almost seemed like night and day. We've decided to make a few changes pertaining to how we are calculating her insulin doses, but other than that, everything seems to be going really well. In two weeks, I will be traveling back to Dr. Guthrie's office to take a insulin pump education class to learn more about the possibility of Avery starting up on one.
My OB appointment also went well. We now have a birthday date set for our baby boy (as long as he doesn't decide to come sooner!) The morning of Monday, July 25 will mark the arrival of the latest Baby Unruh. We will be having the baby at Via Christi St. Joe if anyone was curious. Dr. Maki (the OB doctor) also informed me that he is a pretty big boy already, and she has pretty high expectations as to what he will weigh when he is born. We should be finding out an exact time for the c-section sometime soon, but I am just so happy to finally know the date. Only 3 1/2 more weeks-yikes! And we still have plenty to do!
